Prospective Students

Summer Enrollment Program

You applied to OU and were accepted. Now what? How do you get enrolled for your first semester? Where you do get your student ID? How do you find your way around the OU campus? These and other important questions are answered during the annual Summer Enrollment Program.

Beginning in mid-May and continuing for most of the summer, University College and the OU Scholars Program provide an enrollment program for incoming OU students. Students and their parents spend a day on campus in small groups, accompanied by guides who are current OU students. Activities include learning about OU, taking assessment tests to ensure proper placement in classes (e.g., math), meeting with academic advisers to discuss majors and selected courses, visiting with other campus services and resources, and enrolling in fall classes. You'll leave the campus feeling comfortable about OU, with an appropriate schedule, and a sense of what you can look forward to in the fall.

Beginning in April, students admitted to University College for the upcoming summer and/or fall semesters will receive information detailing how they may make an appointment for the Summer Enrollment Program. For more information, please call University College at (405) 325-3521 or the OU Scholars Program at (405) 325-2851.
